1. Initial consultation
A meeting on site with the builder to discuss your ideas, desires and design concepts.
2. Design
This is the fun part, getting your renovation ideas down on paper. Your can bring your own plans, or we can create them for you – even in 3D (for a small fee). A preliminary agreement is required to be signed at this time to allow us to arrange a site survey & soil testing. These reports are yours to keep.
3. Costs & Inclusions
We will prepare an estimated construction cost based on your design & site costs and will work with you to
deliver your goals and desires for your renovation project.
You will work with us to finalise your projects inclusions, once these details are settled a full construction quote will be supplied along with a building contract.
4. Contracts
A workable and watertight building contract is as important to the success of any building project as the plans, designs, and materials used during construction, which is why Ferguson Building use the HIA Building Contract
5. Planning
Once you are happy with the design and inclusions we will proceed with preparing your final documents for construction including Engineering Design, Energy Efficiency, and Planning Approvals.
6. Construction
This is when it gets real. We strive to give our clients full disclosure of the building process. Open communications directly with the builder along with regular walk throughs are all part of the service.
7. Handover
Congratulations! Your renovation is complete. A thorough inspection of the completed project will be carried
out and any items requiring attention rectified prior to final acceptance. Then it’s time to move in and enjoy your newly renovated home.
8. After care
Have peace of mind knowing your renovation comes with a 6 Month Maintenance Period and a 6 Year Structural Warranty.
